Are You Wasting Your Life?

It's comforting to believe that your ability to impact your own career is determined by the amount of effort you invest in it.

That would make success a simple matter of getting more done.

But how can you possibly get more done when you’re already working at full capacity?

Where do you find the extra time, energy, and money to do what you want to do, when what you’re currently doing is already taking everything you have?

Learn How To Amplify Yourself

The universe is an energy vault where the total amount of energy in it is fixed and none is ever lost.

When something takes energy out of the vault to use, the universe always gets it back.

This means that whenever you invest your energy into something, the returns on that energy will always decline—which is not very encouraging when you have a limited amount of energy to begin with.

To get around these limits of the economics of energy, the universe was designed with systems that feed energy back on itself—in self-reinforcing loops—such that a limited amount of energy can be amplified and multiplied into unlimited outcomes or effects.

You were designed with similar systems.

Achieving success is not about having more time, money, or energy—it’s about amplifying the time, money and energy you already have.

The problem is you were never taught how.

Vibrate At Your Natural Frequency

To help illustrate this concept, consider how musical notes are played on a stringed instrument like a guitar or violin.

Changing the length of the strings by pressing them against a surface at specific intervals will create different notes.

However, there are certain places along a string where touching it instead of pressing it, with the right amount of pressure, will create a special kind of note called a “harmonic”.

The formal definition of a harmonic is “amplification that occurs when the frequency of a periodically applied force is in harmonic proportion to a natural frequency of the system, such that the system will oscillate at a higher amplitude than when the same force is applied at other non-resonant frequencies”.

In other words, there are certain points in a system where the energy that it produces is disproportionately greater than the energy it uses.

Likewise, there are certain places, areas, or fields of endeavour in which your energy feeds back on itself—causing you to perform at a higher frequency naturally—and the outcomes you produce in these areas massively exceed the outcomes you produce in others, for the same or greater amount of effort.

This has profound implications...

Extraordinary outcomes in your life aren’t the results of extraordinary amounts of effort—rather, they’re the results of where your efforts are placed (or not placed).
Less effort applied at the right places significantly outperforms more effort applied at the wrong places.
The impact of your efforts will either be amplified or diminished depending on where you focus them
Career failure is not necessarily a function of a lack of effort or resource (time, energy, or money) but of not knowing where to direct or concentrate it.
The ability of a system (you) to generate “success”, depends on the proficiency at which it can direct its energy and resources away from the wrong places, toward the right places
Clarity on where to direct your energy and resource decreases according to the amount of activity you engage in
Without clarity on who you are, what you’re made of, and what you’re meant to do with it—most of your time, energy, and money will be lost

Know Yourself

Success is not a matter of investing more effort—it’s a matter of leveraging yourself from identifying and unlocking these hidden points of amplification in your unique makeup.

Your career failures and disappointments aren’t caused by a scarcity of time, energy, money, or any other resource per se (those are the effects)—they’re the result of not knowing yourself in terms of your natural talents and abilities, and the resultant misalignment between who you are and what you end up having to do to survive.

This misalignment has forced you to live in a lower energy state—where you’re struggling to get ahead from doing something you’re not particularly gifted at—and which you don’t genuinely want to do anyway

If that describes the situation you’re in then understand, you will never be genuinely successful—you will never become who you were meant to be—unless you do everything in your power to re-align your career with your natural talents and abilities.

They’re called gifts because they were given for you to use—the reason you’re unhappy, unfulfilled, and unsuccessful is because you’re not using them.

To build a genuinely successful career requires you to first know what your gifts are, and then to figure out how to make a living from their use.

And the only way that can happen is if you reject the lower energy state you’re currently stuck in—no matter how “normal” and safe it might seem—and redesign your life in such a way that it gets you back to using your natural talents and abilities, and using them effectively.
